Houston HOPE would like to thank the Acres Homes community leaders, the U of H Texas Learning and Computation Center (TL²), and City of Houston employees who began working together last September to plan the Acres Homes community web portal.

Houston HOPE is pleased that we were able to provide numerous personnel hours, including one person on a full-time basis, as well as meeting supplies and refreshments, for the coordination and implementation of this project.

Now that the web portal has been successfully launched it will be managed by the leaders of the Acres Homes community. The website working committees have been formed and are currently being directed by community leaders, including the Technology Team headed by Mr. Jeffrey Sam. The committee will receive assistance from TLC² led by Manager of Applications Solutions, Josten Ma. In addition, a working group from the City of Houston Planning and Development Department has agreed to provide support during the initial six months.

Houston HOPE is proud to be a part of community revitalization efforts in Acres Homes. We look forward to working with residents on the creation and implementation of a Human Services Action Plan for Acres Homes.
