Meeting to Present Magnolia Park Human Services Action Plan
HOUSTON, July 25, 2007 Houston HOPE and the Houston Department of Health and Human Services will host a community meeting for the Magnolia Park neighborhood on July 25th, 2007 at the Magnolia Multi-Service Center (7037 Capitol St.) from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. The meeting is open to all of the residents and stakeholders of the Magnolia Park neighborhood.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the Houston HOPE Human Services Action Plan to the community. Magnolia Park residents provided input during two previous meetings that was used to create an action plan to target areas of greatest concern in their neighborhood. The action plan will contain goals and implementation strategies that will address the community’s identified needs. Residents will be asked to participate in working groups to deal with these specific issues. The goal is to achieve results that will improve the quality of life for the residents of Magnolia Park.
Children are welcome and light refreshments will be served.
Houston HOPEis a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to work with residents and stakeholders to improve the quality of life in seven of Houston’s poorest neighborhoods. Houston HOPE is leading the private sector component of the Houston HOPE initiative, a public/private partnership with the City of Houston.
